Music

I listen to a lot of music and types of music by proxy. But one person that stands out in the music scene for me is Camellia, who can be seen in the left of this text as a gif.
Why is Camellia notable you may ask? Well, my answer to that is that he is popular in the rhythm gaming scene, I play those games a fair amount, does a lot of types of music that all sound very unique and most of the time, very good as well. Go check him out.

Some other notable people/bands you may want to check out are Pascal Michael Stiefel, t+pazolite, Nightmargin, Thai McGrath, Lemon Demon, The Oral Cigarettes, Kobaryo and glass beach, they also make various types of music which are usually good.

As of 14/01/2023 now I have 1771 songs downloaded to my PC (mostly just ripped from spotify and downloaded from soulseek, 320kbps and lossless flacs, gotta love random tools), spanning 470 albums from 281 artists.)

For my music player I use foobar2000 (full install) with the Columns UI and Discord Rich Presense components, I like it because it is freeware and comes with a few tools that makes it better than something like the default windows music player for example, with the Columns UI, it creates an UI I like quite a lot because it contains editable fields of each song and album, with the album artwork being next to the song/album name. It also has player controls, genre, artist and album searchers at the top, obviously it also has standard music player features as well. You can download it here - https://www.foobar2000.org/

To download files to my PC, I use soggfy (https://github.com/Rafiuth/Soggfy) to rip from spotify in mp3 320kbps even without having premium which is nice. For most files however, I use Soulseek (https://www.slsknet.org) which is P2P software (not torrenting) for various types of files although it is mostly used for sharing music in various formats. This one is better for high quality and lossless music files.

Also go check my playlist out, it has a lot of music from various sources, mainly being EDM and video game soundtracks, but I also have some songs from other sources as well if edm isn't your strong liking.

GAME HARD

Gaming

I have way too much free time on my hands because other than college but even with that I have a lot of free time so I fill it in by watching youtube, browsing social media, building this website and gaming.

My PC is fairly powerful, the specs are AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor, 16GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 and a 1TB Samsung SSD, so it can run most games nowadays with fairly high quality with good frames. I also have a Meta Quest 2.

Anyways, as I have stated before, I play rhythm games a lot, I play osu!mania a lot, and sometimes the taiko gamemode of it as well, I have also been to an arcade once and I really enjoyed playing maimai, I have it set up in VR I just have a few issues with it to work out but it mostly works fine. I am still fairly new to playing taiko modes (keyboard) so I only have 8 hours in it as of writing this and I can only play up to very low 3 star maps. (Muzukashii) The gif on the left next to the meme gif is a probably cursed version of taiko's main mascot/face.

I have also played Batman: Arkham Knight recently and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Mainly the gameplay, it feels really smooth compared to the three Arkham games that came before it and they also expanded on everything, such as having a lot more options to take down your enemies in combat and predator encounters. This game also introduces something that wasn't in the other three games, the playable batmobile, sure it's quite overused and can be quite boring to play at times, but the combat you do with it is decent if plain, a bit boring, repetitive and some things with it just don't make sense (see the embed below for more information on this subject.) It is cool I would recommend giving it a go.

Also make sure to give indie games a shot as well because while not having the budget of AAA games, they make up for in other ways. Things like passion, a great story and nothing that can really stop them from doing their passion project unlike AAA games allowing them to push their creativity to boundless heights creating some amazing games. Plus the art style doesn't have to look realistic, some art styles just have that individual charm to them making them just look good despite not being realistic. If you want to start out with indie games, I highly recommend checking out Pizza Tower and OneShot, I have played them both and they are great games I could easily sink time into again and again, they are both on steam and consoles.

Hit me in my f(drumroll here)ing face, da-don! I am vengeance! I am the night! I am BATMAN!

Where I was born

About Me

Hello, I'm a casual 17 year old brainlet that lives in the UK. I started college this year and I am doing Computer Science and Buisness, I hope to keep doing this career path and I am think of becoming a web developer (ironic I know) or a programmer. I like the college I am doing to so far, even more than high school so I am pretty excited to be doing this course and will be looking into progressing up to Level 2 when I have completed the course I am on now, everything seems to be going well so far so I imagine I'll be able to get a job that I will want to do. I am also learning in the course very well because I am doing my work fast to the highest mark on my assignments possible so I feel like I'll be able to carry that into the level 2 course as well.

Other than college however I don't really have a whole lot going on in my life, I mainly just game, listen to music or scroll away my life usually on my computer (can tell where my passion to do computer science comes from then) or my VR if I want to play something like beat saber (who doesn't lmao), somewhat good at it as well, doing some pretty hard songs at the moment around 7-9/7-8 star maps on the ranked leaderboard blocks per second so I at least know what I'm doing.

I don't post on social media much, probably because I'm an introvert and the fact I have nothing to say most of the time anyways. I don't have much ask to say so I'll say the only platform I really do anything on anymore is my YouTube channel, I do also have a few friends on discord that I regularly talk to, but that's besides the point. It's mostly just osu!mania content or Friday Night Funkin' content when I used to play that, but if you came down to this part of the webpage, go say hi to me on my channel or one of my other platforms you can find by just googling my name, I'll leave an embed of my latest video below this for easy access.

Games You Should Try Out

Night In The Woods, been a while since I last played it so sorry if this paragraph is a bit underwhelming, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. The art style is cool, even though it feels like a walking simulator there's a suprising amount of things to do in it, such as talking to the other people in the town which can have their own little storylines and events. You do need to go out of your way to get some of the secrets and little storylines most of which I never got but if you do find something, it can be a nice little distraction from the main story and could even give you a slightly bigger picture of the actual story parts in the game. Speaking of the story, every day you can either hang out with Gregg or Bea, although you have to hang out with Gregg for the first few days because you get introduced to Bea. They both have their own storylines as well which you get a part of every time you hang out with them but you can only hang out with one of them a day so to get the full picture of the story you will need to play the game at least twice, encouraging repeat playthroughs to get more of the story and maybe some other secrets. I do also think the story is decent, I liked playing through the game. Managed to pick it up for free on Epic Games so that was cool. There's also these band practice segments which is basically 4 key osu!mania, please add custom scroll speed and upscroll, I somehow always choked on the jacks on the songs as well. Speaking of music, I think the music is also really well made but it can become a little jarring if listened on loop enough. Overall, I would recommend you buy the game because it is worth the money in my opinion. The link to buy the game is below.
